From 1992, soon after its inception, and until 1999, José Manuel acted
as Managing Director of The Exxel Group, a leading private equity investment company in Argentina at that time. At Exxel, he had responsibilities in (i) analyzing, negotiating and closing acquisitions in diverse business sectors with an aggregate corporate value of approximately US$600 million, (ii) monitoring investments,
including the design and execution of roll-up strategies, and was actively involved in management and operations committees, (iii) negotiating and closing licensing agreements and strategic alliances with multinational companies, (iv) recruiting management, (v) negotiating and executing the first LBO in Latin America, (vi)
divesting companies, including sales to strategic buyers, closing plants and selling assets, and (vii) raising private equity capital for two blind pools and four single purpose funds.

From 1984 to 1992, José Manuel held operations, planning and financial
management positions at Organización Techint, one of the largest
industrial conglomerates in Argentina.


José Manuel holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad
Católica Argentina and a Master of Business Administration from the
University of Michigan.
