Ernest Boles CEO, Auda International LP and Managing Director, Harald Quandt Holding GmbH (Bad Homburg, Germany & New York, New York, USA)
Ernest Boles is the CEO of Auda International LP, an alternatives investment management firm based in New York, with offices in London, Bad Homburg/Frankfurt, Stockholm and Hong Kong, and a Managing Director of Harald Quandt Holding GmbH, which founded Auda in 1989 and remains one of its principal shareholders. Prior to joining Auda in 2007, Ernest was the CIO of Citi Smith Barney’s European Wealth Management Group. Prior to Citi, Ernest was a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley, with responsibility for the advisory businesses of its Wealth Management Group in Europe and the Middle East. Ernest currently serves on the boards of Real Estate Capital Partners L.P., an investment firm based in New York focusing on US property development, MPM Capital, a bio-ventures firm based in Boston and HQ Trust, a wealth management firm based in Bad Homburg. Ernest also serves on the International Advisory Council of the Frankfurt International School. A native of Kansas, Ernest holds degrees in law from the University of Kansas and the University of Munich, where he also was a research fellow at the Institute for International Taxation. During the course of his studies, Ernest attended the University of Vienna on an International Rotary Fellowship and the University of Hamburg on a Fulbright Scholarship, where he was a research fellow at the Institute for International Finance and Taxation. Ernest currently lives with his family in the Taunus region outside of Frankfurt, and divides his time between his offices in Bad Homburg and New York.
