Fernando Pinto is a Vice President with the Carlyle South America Buyout Fund based out of São Paulo, Brazil. Prior to joining Carlyle, Fernando was an investment officer with Capital International Research Inc., in its private equity generalist fund focused on emerging markets. He was based in London and took part in a team responsible for Latin America. Prior to that, he worked in investment banking for over five years at Goldman Sachs & Co., participating in M&A, restructuring, and capital market transactions on Goldman’s Healthcare and Latin America practices. Fernando was based in the New York and São Paulo offices.
Fernando received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He received a law degree from the University of Sao Paulo and a B.A. in public administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas.
