João César Lima is a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he has worked over 20 years in Brazil and abroad. He is currently a member of the Executive Committee of PwC Brazil, responsible for the Rio de Janeiro office which employs over 400 professionals in the areas of audit, tax, and business consulting. He is also the Coordinator of the Intellectual Capital Management group of PwC in Brazil, which countrywide employs over 3.500 professionals in 16 offices. João led the insurance business of PwC in Brazil and in Latin America, contributing his wide experience in the planning and coordination of the external audit of PwC clients. He also represents the Firm in global forums in the areas of human resources and continued education.


João César is a frequent speaker at various events in the Human Resources and Insurance sectors and is also a guest professor in UFRJ graduate level accounting courses. Furthermore, he is a professor and guest speaker in the Executive MBA program at Coppead at UFRJ.


Mr. Lima was President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Rio de Janeiro (AMCHAM) 2007-2008, and member of its Executive Committee in 2005, 2006, and 2009. He is also a board member of the non-political initiative 'Rio Como Vamos,' which monitors the municipal management of the city of Rio. Additionally, João is a member of the Development Board of PUC-Rio.
