Social Mission: BTA Megálló Group was founded in 1998 and operates rehabilitation services, self-help, work groups and a drop-in center for people overcoming addiction.
Social Enterprise: NESsT was working with Megálló on plans to develop a cafe to both generate income and further its mission. The cafe builded upon Megálló's existing drop-in center, including a coffee shop and internet access. The coffee shop was to serve as a venue for variousó cultural events and information center about self help groups and social and health care services.
Promoting the empowerment of people with disabilities.
Social Mission: The mission of Betlem is to offer loving, home care to adults with severe physical disabilities and to children with combined mental and physical disabilities.
Social Enterprise: NESsT helped support Betlem’s for profit construction and renovation business for homes and businesses. The enterprise specializes in construction, renovation, repairs, and maintenance services to homes & small businesses.
Promoting the development of civil society and participatory democracy.
Social Mission:
The mission of CCO is to support the development of civil society and participatory democracy in the Czech Republic.
Social Enterprise: NESsT has helped CCO build its expert consulting enterprise offering services to local/municipal governments and policymakers to design and implement public participation programs for development planning.
Promoting nature conservation and local cultural heritage.
Social Mission: Chaloupky is dedicated to educating
citizens about nature conservation and
environmental issues in rural Czech
Republic while emphasizing the importance
of preserving local cultural heritage. Since 1991, Chaloupky has received over 50,000 visitors.
Social Enterprise: Chaloupky offers a hotel and catering facility for school groups and families with children, complemented by recreational activities emphasizing environment and education.
Promoting energy efficiency and renewable resources.
Social Mission: ECB was founded in 1993 to promote
energy efficiency and the utilization
of renewable sources of energy and
to increase awareness of technologies
and measures leading to energy
savings in Slovak households.
Social Enterprise: NESsT was supporting ECB’s energy advisory services enterprise for households/ companies on how to reduce energy consumption. ECB also provides market research & marketing services on energy efficiency to companies.
Social Mission: Established in 1994, P-Centrum is a multi-purpose facility that provides treatment and after-treatment to recovering drug addicts and their loved ones.
Social Enterprise:
NESsT was helping P-Centrum to grow its wood-sculpting business that focuses on construction of creative benches and special multifunctional sculptures for children’s playgrounds and recreational zones. Employees are recovering drug addicts and at-risk youth.
Social Mission: OGF promotes sustainable, community agricultural production and healthy lifestyles through the operation of organic farms and building a network of producers, processors and consumers of organic foods.
Social Enterprise: NESsT was assisting OGF to expand its Real Food Box enterprise, an up-market, door-to-door, home-delivery service of organic vegetables, fruit and groceries in the Budapest-Gödöllo area.
Social Mission: Tamizdat is committed to promoting independent progressive culture throughout Central & Eastern Europe as a means of furthering an “open society” in the former communist block.
Social Enterprise: NESsT was assisting Tamizdat to build on the initial success of its primary venture -- online sales and distribution of CDs of Central/Eastern independent musicians.
