Roxana Damaschin-Tecu is the Enterprise Development Manager for NESsT’s Romania operations in Central Europe. Based in Timisoara, Roxana is responsible for managing the later-stage portfolio and further developing the NESsT Venture Fund throughout Romania. She has extensive experience in the nonprofit sector in Romania and social enterprise development. She worked for six years at a CSO (Pentru Voi Foundation) where she was responsible for, among other programs, a bakery employing individuals with intellectual disabilities. She also worked as a graduate in the French-German Cultural Center in Karlsruhe, Germany where she was first introduced to the nonprofit world. Roxana studied Economics at West University in Timisoara where she attained the degree of European Master of Development Studies in Social and Educational Sciences, with a thesis in Social Economy. She furthered her education as a post-graduate in Avon- Fontainebleau, France where she studied international commerce as a Socrates Mobility Scholar.
Roxana speaks Romanian, English and French fluently and is conversational in German. She is a founding member of De Partea Ta Association, a CSO encouraging the idea of traveling and promoting local cultures from all over the world.
