Viktoria Villanyi-Nosko Viktoria is the Operations Manager for Central and Eastern Europe based in the NESsT office in Budapest. She oversees and works to develop and improve NESsT operations and systems in CEE in: financial management, human resources and office management, legal/regulatory issues, and technology. Prior to NESsT, Viktoria worked for ten years for Freedom House in Budapest as Finance and Program Officer. There she gained extensive hands-on experience in the organization’s operations, as well as in financial, administrative and program implementation of projects and grants supporting civic and political rights in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Viktoria was a co-author from 2004-2007 of “Nations in Transit: Civil Society, Democracy and Markets in East Central Europe and the Newly Independent States”, Hungary Chapter, published by Freedom House New York, where she covered the topics: Electoral processes, Independent Media, Corruption and Local Governance in Hungary. She also contributed to Transparency International (TI) Hungary’s “National Integrity System Country Study” (Anti-corruption review of Hungary) with three chapters. She is a member of the supervisory board of Transparency International Hungary. Viktoria holds an M. A. from the Political Science Department of Central European University, Hungary, and a B. A. in English from Geneva College, PA, USA.
