Zsolt Pethe

Zsolt has gained extensive experience working in various countriesin both the for-profit and non-profit sectors over the past 10 years.

After receiving his BA in International Business and Spanish at Ohio Wesleyan University (Delaware, OH), Zsolt returned to his native Hungary to bring business know-how to a start-up NGO, called Foundation for Democratic Youth (DIA). As Director of Development, Zsolt has built up DIA from the ground, shaping long-term funding, internal processes, strategic direction and key partnerships.

For his achievements, Zsolt has earned an Echoing Green (New York, NY) fellowship in 2001 for Social Entrepreneurship (recipient of one of six total fellowships out of 1000+ world-wide applicants).

After completing his MBA at CEU Business School in Budapest, he returned to the for-profit sector, completing General Electric’s top global leadership development program (ECLP), followed by projects at Budapest Bank’s consumer finance business. Parallel to his work, Zsolt has also been teaching Social Entrepreneurship courses at CEU Business School to undergraduate and MBA classes.

Zsolt is a Hungarian citizen and is fluent in Hungarian, English, German and Spanish with conversational Dutch. He currently lives with his family in Budapest, Hungary.
