Marcela Cid is NESsT's Operations Manager for Latin America, based in Santiago.

Before joining NESsT, Marcela most recently worked as researcher for Fundación Pro Acceso in Santiago, and before that was Director of the NGO Les Scientifines in Montreal, Canada, and Project Coordinator for the Municipality of Santiago's early childhood program. She was also part of the first generation of professionals to participate in Servicio País, a one year professional program under the National Council for Overcoming Poverty (Consejo Nacional para la Superación de la Pobreza), and since then has specialized in the preparation and implementation of social projects and social research in both Chile and Canada.

Marcela has a degree in Sociology from the University of Chile, and post-graduate studies in Management Planning, Control and Assessment (Universidad Central), as well as psycho-education from the University of Montreal, Canada. She speaks Spanish, French, English and Portuguese, and lives in Santiago with her husband, Guillaume and 7 year old son, Thomas.
